Naming our business
You most likely will hear me say “our” or “we” when referring to the business and making decisions. This is because there is no way that I would be on this journey of opening my own veterinary clinic without my amazing and supportive husband Bryan. The process actually began back in 2016 when I started working as a relief veterinarian. I remember we were on the road driving somewhere and we started making a list of words. We hoped to find a name for our business that had a deeper meaning. Out of this list came the word neighborhood. It made a lot of sense at the time too because I would be helping out at various clinics in nearby towns or "neighborhoods.” But ultimately, I think the deeper meaning for both of us is that we want to be good and caring neighbors. In fact, the Lord commands that of us. It is written in Mark 12:30-31 to ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. Then second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these’. I consider Bryan as my role model when it comes to this. He is always looking out for others, loves talking to people and is constantly looking to build stronger relationships. I feel blessed to have him as my partner. We really care about this community that we live in and we are looking forward to helping serve our neighbors to the best of our ability.
